Is it really a crisis?

Sometimes, our perception of something is our worst enemy. It is solely based on either past experiences or fears that others have tormented us with. The thing to fear the most is fear itself!

My interpretation of things is: If God did not say it, I do not believe it (Deut. 6:13). The Holy Lord has spoken all Scripture by the influence of his Holy Spirit (2 Tim. 3:16). He has always used men to write the Scriptures down, however the inspiration was of God Almighty, Himself. Philippians 4:13 states, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." All things means...ALL THINGS! Therefore, with Christ as my strength, I am able to accomplish all of the godly things He has laid out for me to do. He is INCREDIBLE!

Therefore, DO NOT FEAR:

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

~Matt. 6:25-34

It is really a waste of time and energy to walk around fearing and worrying all day. It will not change one single issue to worry about it. (Matt. 6:27) Instead, we should do as Matt. 6:33 states, "...Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." If you are not saved, that meaning you have not admitted to your sinful nature before a Holy God and repented for your unrighteousness, THEN accepted Jesus Christ as your Redeemer for your unrighteousness - then you should be worried! However, if you have sought God's Kingdom, which is displayed through Christ the Redeemer on the Cross of Calvary - you have no need to worry. All of "these things" will be added to you. What you eat is taken care of...what you wear is taken care of...where you will live is taken care of...etc. As one who trusts in Jesus, I can attest to His faithfulness and his dependability. Just follow Him, and rest in His goodness and security.
